Four Months

We took our weekly trip to the pediatrician's office last Thursday for Reese's four month check-up. Elle and Grady were happy to tag along and receive their flu shots. Thankfully, Daddy was able to tag along as well and enjoy the happiness. Reese was a champ and is growing perfectly. We are still dealing with a sometimes goopy, sometimes teary eye that I'm confident will result in his trip to Children's South Outpatient Surgery Center one day. But maybe not. There's still time for it to resolve.

Big boy weighed in at 15 lbs 8 oz and was 25 1/2 inches long. He is rolling from stomach to back. He can push up on his arms pretty well. From his back, he can only manuver his 15+ pound self over to his side and then he smiles. I'm sure it won't be long until he makes it all the way over. The drool faucet has been turned on and we have to have a bib on at all times. He is smiling, talking and giggling a lot. I am enjoying him so much. I know people say it all the time, but the more you have, the more you are able to just relax and enjoy them. I am so thankful.

And Elle and Grady really do love him. Although Grady did ask me to "lay him in the sandbox" last week. I was holding Reese and Grady wanted me to play pitch with him. I explained that I couldn't because I could hurt Reese with the bat or ball. And that was his solution: put him in the sandbox and then you can play with me!

put him in the sand box...love it! seth had the chronic goop eye for about a year. i tried everything. i finally got to give him some patanol drops and i changed out his humidifier (from warm to cool mist) and it went away. weird. hopefully his will be something easy that will clear up on it's own. sometimes i think we need to just sign our checks over to the ped offices for the copays, don't you?

ok we had the goopy watery eye thing too. we tried massaging, warm compresses, etc. seriously...i think she had an eye infection because finally got an antibiotic drop and it went away for good. they were talking surgery to open her tear duct and all she needed was a little eye drop! good luck!

"Lay him in the sandbox" is awesome. HA! So glad someone else is enjoying flu shots. We actually got the mists this year! Whoop Whoop to whoever came up with those!
